Production Assistant and Delivery Driver

The role of a production assistant and delivery driver is a multifaceted job. Working closely with our Wholesale team, the role not only focuses to execute our weekly tasks to ensure we produce consistent products that uphold the quality and standards of Mechanic Coffee, but also ensure customers orders are delivered with care and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Good attitude 

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must have organization skills

  • Strong communication

  • Valid Driver’s License 

  • Clean driving record

Not required but a plus:

  • Experience brewing cold brew

  •  Experience with brewing beer

  •  Experience as a barista

  •  Experience with production


Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Being punctual

  • Reporting to manager

  • Assist in brewing cold brew products 

  • Assist with bagging coffee beans

  • Help keep a clean production space

  • Help keep track and stock inventory

  • Help communicate with head roaster

  • Help test and maintain batch records

  • Help with deliveries

  • Deliver product in an organized and timely manner


Position: Part time

Starting 32 hr/per wk with opportunities for more hours during busy season or potential shift at our cafe.

Compensation

Starting wage $15 per/hour

Service Technician - Espresso Analyst

The role of a Service Technician at Espresso Analyst is someone who is able to learn, troubleshoot multiple types of coffee brewing equipment. This Job is both in the field with customers and in our workshop.

Espresso Analysts services a wide range of equipment including some of these brands:

  • Slayer

  • Cimbali

  • Mahlkonig

  • Compaq

  • Bunn

This role requires the eagerness to learn about coffee, water, electrical and mechanical theory and application. The ability to work hard and to treat co-workers and customers with respect is the golden Standard for Espresso Analysts.

This job requires both work in our warehouse as well as being out on the road to service customer's equipment. The company provides service vehicles as well as most tools that are needed to perform jobs. We require that smaller hand tools are purchased by employees.

Requirements/Experience:

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Knowledge of tools/ability to use basic hand tools,

  • Ability to work with others and have strong communication skills

  • Read and interpret instruction manual

  • Able to lift 100 lbs.

  • Must have clean and valid Driver’s license

9-5 Mon-Fri. Rotation on call during the weekend.

Compensation

Salary: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour

Barista

Requirements/Experience:

Mechanic Coffee is a growing company and we are looking for an individual who is interested not only in barista work, but to grow into other opportunities as our company expands.

· Must be available to work weekends

· Must be able to stand for longer periods of time

· Must have strong work ethic

· Must have a good attitude 


This role requires the eagerness to learn about coffee, water, electrical and mechanical theory and application, the ability to work hard and to treat co-workers and customers with respect.


Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Prepare and serve handcrafted drinks 

· Engage with customers 

· Use register and handle money

· Keep a clean and tidy work area

· Keep busy during slower times

· Learn and explain different coffee types and profiles. E.g. Blend vs. Single Origin 


Position: Part time

· Each shift is between 5.5-6 hours

· Currently seeking to fill 2-3 shifts per week. 

· (Additional opportunities available to add more hours)


Compensation

Starting wage $10 +tips (average an additional $6 per/hr)
